![]() ![]() I'm assuming GE will be extremely accurate then? Hi guys, I forgot to mention that I'll be using addresses in Canada and the continental US (48 States). ![]() (1) How well you're able to find an exact position on GE, and (2) GoogleEarth's imagery error offset (imagery for Guam is offset by 15 ft to the East), and how well you're able to compensate. In my experience, that depends on 2 things. Yes as long as you are in a country for which street addresses have been entered by google. Is it possible to enter my house address into Google Earth so that it can determine its exact coordinates? If you're in a low resolution area, then even the poorest GPS will be more accurate than google earth Google Earth will be spot on every time as long as you are in a well mapped area that you can locate on the maps in high detail, and have the time and effort to tag each image manually. GPS will return generally very accurate results, but with jitter, the odd thing here and there will be off It all depends on the time and effort you put in. When I have imported my track log into Google Earth, it has been bang on, so I think that it is quite precise. My experience has been that it is very accurate as long as you can identify landmarks and other details in Google Earth. Will the coordinates be more accurate with Google Earth or my GPS unit will be more accurate? ![]()
